Job summary

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chicago South-Lansing is seeking a Room Inspector to ensure rooms meet brand standards after housekeeping. You will meticulously inspect rooms for cleanliness, stock, and aesthetics, reporting issues and coordinating turnover with front desk.

The role requires attention to detail, prior hotel housekeeping experience, and the ability to lead or support a team, with flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years prior hotel housekeeping experience. Supervisory experience desired.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, including bathrooms, for cleanliness, sanitization, and compliance with IHG brand standards.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, such as broken fixtures, malfunctioning equipment, or damages.
• Update the Room Management System/Front Desk with room status and ensure prompt turnover.
• Assist in training new housekeeping staff and supervise as needed.
• Ensure in-room amenities are stocked and rooms meet high aesthetic standards for guest satisfaction; perform room attendant duties when required.
