Job summary

Holiday Inn Express Versailles in Kentucky is seeking a Room Attendant to keep guest rooms and corridors clean in accordance with hotel procedures. The role requires teaming with housekeeping, stocking carts, greeting guests, and ensuring rooms are secured and well-presented.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and communicate effectively with guests, reporting any hazards or damages promptly. The position involves performing additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent, or up to six months related experience.
• Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers.
• Ability to follow detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and handle problems.
• Must communicate with guests and recognize situations requiring supervisory attention.
• Physically able to stand, walk, and lift up to 25–30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Clean, dust, wax, scrub, polish and service guest rooms daily according to hotel procedures.
• Stock cart with guest room supplies at beginning and end of shifts.
• Greet guests and replace linens, replenish supplies and amenities.
• Empty wastebaskets and rearrange furnishings, drapes and room accessories.
• Ensure guest rooms are properly secured with doors closed and locked.
• Report damage, hazards and needed repairs to housekeeping management.
• Return found items to the Housekeeping department with date, location and finder name.
• Manage keys signed out during shift and maintain clean corridors and service areas.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
