Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts, managing Freehand Chicago, is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean, safe guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a high standard of comfort and ambience.

You will perform cleaning tasks, change linens, stock supplies, adhere to safety and cleaning procedures, and work as part of a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.
• Must be willing to pitch-in and help co-workers as a team player.
• Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment.
• Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as supervisors, coworkers, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces.
• Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
• Strip beds and make beds, change bed linens, lifting bedspreads up to 50 lbs.
• Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves.
• Push and pull vacuum, empty trash.
• Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms.
• Sign for room keys, retrieve, and restock heavy cart.
• Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance.
