Job summary

ECKERTS INC is seeking a guest services associate at GRAFTON FARM in Grafton, IL. You will greet guests, answer questions, guide visitors, and process payments while maintaining a clean, safe environment on-site.

Environment varies with outdoor conditions; you may handle multiple tasks and assist in directing guests to various farm areas. Prior customer service experience preferred and a focus on helping guests have a positive farm visit.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, which are furnished in written and oral form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving standard and nonstandard situations.
• Ability to communicate and work well with others.

• Proven organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Follow and interpret quantity recipes to prepare a volume of quality bakery items while maintaining proper temperature and sanitary conditions.

Salary Range: $15.00 - $16.50 Hourly

Essential Functions:

• Welcome guests to the farm and answer any questions that they might have.
• Direct guests to other areas on the farm.
• Handle cash, check, credit card and gift certificate payments
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Follow all guidelines and procedures outlined in department and health and safety manuals and as set by the Farm Manager.
• Communicate with the rest of the farm employees ensuring that each guest has a fun and safe experience
• Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

Physical/Visual Activities or Demands:

1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop and crouch, push, pull, reach, grasp, feel, talk and hear.
2. Generally light physical effort. The employee is required to lift more than 50 lbs. rarely and/or 5 to 25 lbs. occasionally.
3. Specific vision abilities required by this job include clarity of vision at a distance of 20 inches or less with the ability to judge distance and space relationships along with adjusting the eye to bring objects into sharp focus.
