Job summary

Styer Hospitality Co. in Columbus, OH is seeking a Hospitality Inspector to ensure every property managed meets company standards before guest arrival. Inspectors verify cleanliness, safety, presentation, and inventory, and communicate with Guest Services and Operations to resolve issues.

The role is full-time on-site, Monday–Friday 9:00 AM–5:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch, using Breezeway and Hostaway to manage tasks, track reservations, and support deposits and turnover.

Qualifications

• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve issues independently.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and light cleaning tasks as needed.
• Comfortable working independently for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect properties for cleanliness, safety, presentation, and overall quality.
• Follow checklists and use sound judgment to identify and resolve issues.
• Ensure spaces look inviting and meet company standards.
• Identify damages or maintenance needs and escalate appropriately.
• Verify vendor performance and provide feedback when standards are not met.
• Use Breezeway and Hostaway to manage tasks, updates, and reservations.
• Conduct post-checkout inspections and document damage for deposits.
• Track inventory and coordinate transfers between properties and backstock.
• Assist with new property setups and high-volume turnover periods.
• Communicate property needs and updates with Operations and Guest Services.
