Job summary

Merlin is seeking a Facilities Technician – Generalist to keep guest-facing and back-of-house areas safe, clean, and fully operational within our resort. You will perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative tasks to ensure asset longevity and high standards of appearance.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in facilities maintenance, strong carpentry/plumbing skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced resort environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years in facilities or related maintenance roles.
• General maintenance skills across carpentry, plumbing, painting, lighting, minor electrical repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret basic technical instructions and manuals.
• Strong communication for guest and team interactions.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance including carpentry, painting, drywall repair, minor plumbing, lighting repairs, and basic electrical tasks.
• Complete preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
• Respond promptly to work orders and emergency issues.
• Conduct daily area inspections for safety hazards and cosmetic issues.
• Use CMMS to manage work orders and document tasks.
