Job summary

Merlin Entertainments in Winter Haven, FL, is seeking a Facilities Technician – Generalist to maintain safety, functionality, and appearance of resort facilities across guest-facing and back-of-house areas. You will perform maintenance, respond to work orders, conduct inspections, and use CMMS to manage tasks, while upholding Merlin's safety and service standards and delivering a polished guest experience.

This role requires 2–3 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma or GED, with

Qualifications

• 2–3 years facilities/building maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with carpentry, plumbing, painting, lighting and minor electrical repairs preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret basic technical instructions and manuals.
• Strong communication with guests and team members; multitasking in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repairs across guest-facing and back-of-house areas; carpentry, painting, drywall repair, minor plumbing, lighting, doors and hardware.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
• Respond to service requests and emergency maintenance issues promptly.
• Inspect and maintain interior and exterior areas to keep facilities guest-ready.
• Use CMMS to receive, update, and close work orders; document time & materials.
