Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team at RMC Resort Management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the resort's facilities, including guest rooms, public spaces, and equipment. As a vital part of the resort team, the Maintenance Technician will be committed to delivering excellent service and creating a safe, comfortable environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across the resort property, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and other facilities systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions in guest rooms and common areas to ensure minimal disruption to guest experiences.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, addressing issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform routine inspections of resort facilities and equipment to identify and address potential issues before they arise.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, including maintaining proper documentation for repairs and inspections.
  • Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of resort equipment and amenities, such as swimming pools, hot tubs, fitness centers, and more.
  • Participate in emergency response efforts, including addressing fire alarms, leaks, or other safety hazards.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance tools, parts, and supplies and ensure proper organization and storage.
  • Work closely with the housekeeping and front desk teams to coordinate repairs and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Provide excellent customer service while interacting with guests and addressing their concerns regarding maintenance issues.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in building maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, or related fields preferred.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality or resort environment.
  • Solid knowledge of general maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and carpentry.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair common mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a resort, hotel, or property management setting.
  • Familiarity with resort equipment and amenities such as pools, spas, fitness equipment, and kitchen appliances.
  • HVAC certification or plumbing experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
