Job summary

Description

Guest nurses manage the health office in the regular nurse's absence by providing first aid for ill and injured children (and staff) and dispensing medication or providing treatment care as directed. Nurses document all student contact using the method of building the nurse prefers.

Work Experience Requirements

Direct experience as a Registered Nurse working with students.

Education Requirements

Completion of professional preparation program and licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.

CPR/AED Certification required.

Working Conditions

GUEST TEACHERS ARE AT-WILL EMPLOYEES - THERE IS NO EXPECTATION OF EMPLOYMENT OR A CONTRACT.

Guest teachers/nurses/administrative assistants are placed on the substitute list based on district need; the district reserves the right to remove a substitute from the list at any time for any reason.

Compensation

Guest Nurses are paid at the hourly rate of $30.00.
