Job summary

The DoSeum is seeking an energetic Experience Engineer to promote joyful learning and active discovery through interactions with museum Guests. This full-time, hourly role involves facilitating family programs, school visits, and DoSeum camps while ensuring a welcoming environment.

Reporting to Gallery Operations, the Experience Engineer will address guest questions, assist with exhibition tech, handle front-desk duties, and support safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in education, child development, or related field is a plus.
  • Demonstrated interest in and enjoyment of working with young children and families.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate caregiver-child interactions across galleries and outdoor spaces, encouraging curiosity and learning through play.
  • Lead educational activities using established curriculum and DoSeum programs.
  • Engage learners of varying ages by adapting facilitation techniques in real time.
  • Provide welcoming, inclusive guest service at the front desk and with inquiries.
  • Collaborate with staff on program updates, schedules, and exhibit changes.
