Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Shop in Middleburg Heights, OH is hiring friendly Team Members for morning and day shifts. You will open the shop, prep food, and serve customers, bringing energy and great vibes to our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• You are 16 years or older.
• Friendly, customer-first mindset with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a bustling kitchen environment (knife skills a plus).
• Ability to manage potential allergens (peanuts, eggs, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, shellfish).
• Team player and able to work with others.
• Stand/walk a minimum of 3 hours and lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally 50 lbs).
• Illinois applicants: must become food safety certified within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Work multiple stations (load, dress, shakes, cash, prep, front) as directed by a Shift Leader or Manager.
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Restock food line, chips and cooler.
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream, etc.).
• If 18+, use the slicer to prep food items.
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen and utensils; take out trash.
• Operate cash register: handle, balance and follow cash procedures.
• Effectively handle customer complaints/issues.
• Take delivery/catering/pickup orders over the phone.
• Other duties as assigned.
