Job summary

Kimpton Banneker Washington DC is seeking a Restaurant Server to deliver courteous, guest-focused service in our hotel dining venues in Washington, DC. You will take orders, enter them in the POS, and help ensure guest satisfaction while upholding brand standards and sustainability goals.

Responsibilities include setting/clearing tables, stocking stations, preparing guest checks, and assisting in bartending or bussing during busy periods. Prior F&B experience and TIPS are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food and beverage experience required or equivalent training.
• Knowledge of POS systems.
• TIPS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders and input into the POS system.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Set and clear tables in dining areas.
• Stock service stations with items such as ice, napkins, or straws.
• Retrieve orders from food preparation areas and ensure food is prepared accordingly.
• Prepare guest checks and process payments when appropriate.
• Assist with bartending and bussing during staff shortages or peak periods.
• Be mindful of guest satisfaction scores and work to improve them.
• Follow HHM EarthView sustainability guidelines.
• Follow safety guidelines per MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
