Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a friendly, efficient Server to join our restaurant team. You’ll provide accurate service to guests, promote daily specials, and ensure a welcoming experience that keeps travelers coming back on the road.

You’ll handle POS transactions, coordinate with kitchen staff, and maintain safety and cleanliness while delivering great customer service. Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Friendly, team-oriented individual.
• Basic computer/POS knowledge
• Previous food service experience is a plus
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service.
• Welcome and serve each customer courteously, quickly and efficiently.
• Be knowledgeable of menu items and promote daily specials.
• Process transactions on a POS register.
• Prioritize work according to kitchen and dining guest needs.
• Maintain equipment per operating standards.
• Follow safety procedures when handling and/or preparing food.
• Build rapport with leaders and co-workers.
• Perform other duties as assigned
