Job summary

Grand Traverse Resort is seeking an experienced restaurant server to deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced dining environment. You will take orders, explain specials, and serve meals with a focus on friendliness and efficiency.

Responsibilities include operating the MICROS system, handling opening/closing procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and collaborating with team members to ensure a superior guest experience. TIPS certification and wine knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• TIPS certification or obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Must have previous serving experience and knowledge of wines/alcohol.
• Understanding of a full-service restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality products, excellent service and a friendly atmosphere for all guests.
• Operate MICROS Computer System.
• Perform opening and closing procedures of Restaurant.
• Take orders and serve all food and beverage, describing specials.
• Present check and explain payment methods and discounts.
• Clear and clean tables and assist busser.
• Maintain room setup and cleanliness.
• Stock supplies and setups.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards.
