Job summary

Applebee's Grill & Bar in Quincy, IL is seeking a friendly server to provide welcoming, efficient dining service. You will deliver food and drinks, greet guests, answer questions, and relay orders to the kitchen and bar using our POS system. The role emphasizes courtesy, teamwork, and attentiveness to guest needs.

You'll participate in clearing tables and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests. Flexible scheduling and opportunities to grow with the team are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn Applebee's service steps.

Responsibilities

• Delivers food and drinks to guests using Applebee's team delivery system (65%).
• Greet guests, answers questions, makes suggestions regarding food, drinks, and service (20%).
• Interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere (15%).
• Relays orders to service bar and kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system (10%).
• Observes guests and responds to any additional requests (10%).
• Presents guest check to each table and accepts a form of payment. Makes correct change and/or completes the proper charge card procedure (10%).
• Participates in the clearing and resetting of dining room tables (10%).
