Job summary

Hyatt Regency Phoenix is seeking a Server to deliver professional, friendly, and efficient food and beverage service in a high-volume setting. You will greet guests, take and deliver orders, and provide menu recommendations while collaborating with the Food & Beverage team to ensure outstanding hospitality experiences.

Responsibilities include accurate order entry into POS, timely service, handling payments, and maintaining clean, organized dining spaces while adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong guest service focus with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to carry trays and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to all guests.
• Greet guests promptly and ensure a welcoming dining experience.
• Present menus, answer questions, and make food and beverage recommendations.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and address requests promptly.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and beverage offerings.
• Process guest payments and accurately handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Assist with setting, clearing, and resetting tables.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with hosts, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations.
