Job summary

Hy-Vee is hiring for a Market Grille Server. You will warmly greet guests, take and relay orders, serve meals and drinks, and ensure a memorable dining experience. The role requires accurate order entry, knowledge of menu items, and the ability to balance tableside service with drink preparation.

Qualifications

• No education required; 0–2 years of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and learn names to create a welcoming experience.
• Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations.
• Take orders and enter them into the POS system for kitchen transmission.
• Serve food and beverages and prepare specialty drinks as needed.
• Check with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues.
• Verify guest ages for alcoholic beverage service; manage payments and tips.
