Qualifications

• No education requirement; 0 to 2 years of related work experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a smile, learn their names, and create a welcoming experience from seating
• Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations
• Take orders and enter into the computer system for kitchen transmission
• Serve food and beverages and prepare specialty drinks as required
• Check with guests throughout meals to ensure satisfaction and address issues
• Verify identification for alcohol service
• Prepare itemized checks and collect payment, report tips
• Keep tables and service areas clean and stocked with supplies
• Assist coworkers and maintain Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines
