Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to learn food, wine, spirits, cocktails, and menu specifications.
• Ability to operate the designated POS system.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must meet all applicable requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and professionally and establish a welcoming dining experience.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all food menus, beverage offerings, daily specials, ingredients, preparation methods, and appropriate accompaniments.
• Maintain knowledge of allergens and dietary restrictions and follow established procedures when communicating allergy-related requests.
• Explain menu items clearly and confidently and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Actively suggest appetizers, beverages, wine, enhancements, side dishes, desserts, and after-dinner beverages when appropriate.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter all items correctly into the POS system.
• Follow proper seat numbering and course sequencing procedures.
• Communicate special requests and modifications accurately to the culinary and bar teams.
• Monitor the timing and quality of each course and communicate delays or concerns immediately.
• Perform appropriate table maintenance throughout the dining experience.
• Refill beverages and anticipate guest needs without requiring the guest to ask.
• Deliver and present food and beverages according to established service standards.
• Check guest satisfaction after food and beverages are delivered and take immediate action when recovery is required.
• Process guest checks, room charges, credit cards, cash, discounts, and other forms of payment accurately.
• Follow all procedures related to complimentary items, voids, discounts, and adjustments.
• Complete assigned opening, running, and closing side work.
• Maintain clean and fully stocked service stations throughout the shift.
• Assist with resetting tables and preparing the restaurant for subsequent guests.
• Maintain proper sanitation and food‑handling practices.
• Participate in pre‑shift meetings and remain informed of VIPs, groups, special events, unavailable items, menu changes, and daily operational information.
• Communicate guest concerns immediately and assist with service recovery within the colleague's authority.
• Support fellow servers and other Food & Beverage colleagues during periods of high volume.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards at all times.
• Protect guest privacy and confidential resort information.
• Perform other reasonable Food & Beverage duties as assigned based on operational needs.
