Job summary

HM Alpha Hotels & Resorts in Durham, NC is hiring a Laundry Attendant for the DoubleTree Durham property. You will wash, dry, fold and organize linens while maintaining a clean laundry area and friendly guest interactions.

Responsibilities include loading washers, adding detergent, operating machines, handling wet and dry laundry, ironing table linens, sorting items, and returning clean laundry to storage. The role requires a background check and full-time availability.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of a background check is required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Load articles into washer and add specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaning agent.
• Turn valve to fill washer with water.
• Start machine that automatically washes and rinses articles.
• Lift clean, wet articles from washer and place them into wringers and driers for measured time cycles.
• Sort dried articles according to identification number or type.
• Fold and place item in appropriate storage bin.
• Iron all table linens.
• Lubricate machines, using grease gun and oil can.
• Ensure cleanliness of equipment.
• Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
• Other duties as assigned by the leader
