Job summary

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is seeking a Food Runner for the Sheraton Columbia Downtown Hotel in Columbia, SC.

Deliver food promptly to guests, assist wait staff, learn menu items, manage order tickets, and keep the service area stocked and organized. This role requires a friendly, guest-focused approach, good communication, basic math, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of front desk/guest service experience preferred.
• Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt sales processes and systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food items to guests in a timely manner.
• Assist wait staff in service of food items and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Organize order tickets for proper coursing and maintain station stock.
• Perform table side service when needed and clear dishes to the dishwasher.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food runner station.
• Follow health standards and assist with guest requests and seating as needed.
