Job summary

Fred Meyer is seeking a friendly, customer-focused cashier/checker to join our Bothell team. You will greet customers, assist them at the checkout, and process transactions efficiently using the POS system. You’ll handle cash and other payment types while upholding policy and safety requirements.

You will also maintain a safe environment, answer questions about products, and help ensure a smooth, positive shopping experience for every guest. Flexibility for part-time hours is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash, checks, debit/credit, and loyalty offers per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow policies for restricted sale items and promotions.
• Provide customer service to ensure a safe, welcoming store experience.
