Job summary

Denny’s is seeking a Server to greet, seat, and service guests in a friendly, courteous manner. You will take orders, deliver food and beverages, and assist other team members to ensure total guest satisfaction.

You will respond to guest concerns promptly, uphold Denny’s Guiding Principles, and maintain a clean dining area while handling payments and upselling to meet targets. Uniform standards apply.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
• Must pass all required tests and training for the position.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Meets Denny’s uniform and grooming standards.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Possesses excellent guest service skills.
• Possesses basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
• Must be dependable and able to learn basic tasks and follow instructions.
• Places a value on diversity and shows respect for others.
• Minimum age requirement of 21 in restaurants that free pour alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests immediately upon arrival and acknowledges them at departure.
• Takes and delivers orders, and assists with side-work as needed.
• Responds to guest concerns in a timely and courteous manner.
• Operates the point of sale system and processes payments.
• Assists with seating and maintains dining room cleanliness and organization.
• Provides prompt and courteous service throughout the dining experience.
