Job summary

Goodwill of North Georgia is seeking a retail team member to assist guests, process transactions, and maintain a clean, organized sales floor. You will greet customers, upsell merchandise, and support daily operations in a fast-paced store environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and excellent communication skills. Commitment to teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills in English as well as interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to demonstrate sound judgement.
• Must be 18 years or older to become certified and licensed to operate a forklift (individuals age 16 to 17 will not be allowed to operate forklifts, balers or compactors)

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and deliver unbelievable brand experience.
• Display a professional, patient, and people-first attitude with guests.
• Transition product to the retail sales floor with attention to detail and urgency.
• Execute and maintain visual merchandising strategies.
• Recommend/upsell merchandise and round up during transactions.
• Accurately handle point of sale transactions with guests.
• Identify and quickly solve problems and/or seek management support.
• Communicate effectively with management, peers, and guests.
• Promote cooperation and teamwork with peers.
• Follow training playbooks, e-learning, and work instructions.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area and retail sales floor.
• Adhere to safety and security practices and report hazards.
• Attend and complete trainings and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
