Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is hiring a Restaurant Server to deliver friendly, attentive service and guide guests through menus to create memorable dining experiences. You will work with the team to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages and uphold the Kalahari Promise to Lead with Love.

Position starting as early as September with a pay rate of $2.13/hr plus tips; state alcohol safety certification required; bilingualism preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Certificate upon completion of an alcohol awareness/safety class and state-certified proper food handling certification.
• General food and beverage knowledge with 1 year front-of-house experience preferred.
• Ability to operate Micros terminal, Phone system, POS system and beverage dispenser.
• Bi-lingual skills are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
• Greet guests, inform them of specials, provide menu tours, and recommend items.
• Take orders, enter into POS, relay to kitchen and bar.
• Deliver food and beverages to guests promptly and with proper service ware.
• Assist fellow associates as needed to maintain smooth operations.
