Job summary

Target is hiring a Food & Beverage Expert to join our Kansas City store. You will greet guests, help locate items, and ensure freshness and accurate signage while following safety standards.

This role requires a friendly, collaborative approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours. You will use handheld scanners and store technology, support teammates, and focus on guest satisfaction and operational excellence across replenishment, stock accuracy, and safety

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience in food or grocery desired but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate scanners.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and deliver a friendly experience.
• Help guests find items and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Support team efforts and assist peers while staying positive and respectful.
• Deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience during all hours of operations.
• Uphold and maintain execution of Food & Beverage standards.
• Execute food delivery, replenishment, merchandising, in-stocks routines and data accuracy.
• Follow all safety requirements and food safety procedures.
• Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales.
• Work with vendors to set displays and maintain backroom organization.
• Locate and identify damaged or expired items and process according to policy.
• Comply with federal, state and local laws governing adult beverages as applicable.
