Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is seeking a Food & Beverage Service Attendant in Scottsdale to support breakfast, the evening social hour, and events. You will assist with setup, service, and breakdown of buffet areas, ensuring quality standards and guest satisfaction.

The role requires a can-do service mindset, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and availability mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. ServSafe and potentially TIPS may be required.

Qualifications

• Some previous food and beverage experience preferred.
• Background from the extended stay industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is required; other languages beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing and mathematical abilities are preferred.
• Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
• Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Will be required to use commercial cleaning chemicals.
• ServSafe certification.
• TIPS certification.
• Must work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and transport all food and beverage items and supplies to buffet areas.
• Monitor supplies and replenish buffet items as needed.
• Follow preparation methods, times, quality and presentation standards.
• Monitor taste, appearance, texture, temperatures, portions, and garnishing methods.
• Prepare salads, sandwiches, soups for sale in the shoppe.
• Provide proactive, professional guest service and respond to requests.
• Assist in set-up and breakdown of meeting rooms.
• Serve and maintain hygiene for all food and beverage service during hotel meetings.
• Adhere to health, sanitation, cleanliness, and alcohol service standards.
