Job summary

Cleveland Metroparks is seeking a Guest Experience Cashier at our Zoo operations. You will process payments for admissions and services using a computer-based ticketing system, ensuring accurate point-of-sale transactions and friendly, helpful service to every visitor.

You will assist guests with questions, provide park information, and help with access needs, while verifying tickets and guiding guests to exhibits.

Responsibilities

• Operate computer-based ticketing system to record fees from admission and other services.
• Provide quality guest service and ensure accurate point of sale transactions.
• Organize information for registered groups and individuals picking up tickets.
• Provide information to visitors regarding special events or activities and location of animal exhibits.
• Accurately verifies tickets for correct type, time, and date, ensuring only authorized guests are admitted to the Zoo and designated exhibits.
• Engage guests in a friendly and positive manner.
• Provides access control for the giraffe feeding, bird feeding, and contact yard areas as needed to ensure a safe and enjoyable guest experience.
• Keeps direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns.

Job description

The Guest Experience Cashier is responsible for processing payments for goods and services using a computer‑based ticketing system while providing friendly, helpful service to all visitors. This role also assists guests with questions, access needs, and general park information to ensure positive overall experience.

• Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required. All Cleveland Metroparks employees must be prepared to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required.
• Operate computer-based ticketing system to record fees from admission and other services.
