Job summary

Laguna Playhouse in Laguna Beach, CA seeks a full-time Development Manager to lead fundraising campaigns and enhance the donor experience. You will work with the Director of Advancement and collaborate with all departments to advance the mission.

The role requires strong organization, deadline-driven focus, and commitment to equity in the arts, with evening and weekend availability for performances.

Responsibilities

• Process ticket sales and exchanges through the ticketing system.
• Handle daily cash and credit card transactions and reconcile reports.
• Assist with will-call and patron check-in before performances.
• Provide accurate information about performances, pricing, seating, parking, and accessibility.
• Upsell or cross-sell tickets and subscriptions when appropriate.
• Support audience services by communicating patron needs or complaints to management.
• Maintain confidentiality of patron records and payments.
• Ensure ADA compliance and accommodate seating requests.
• Assist with data entry, reports, and mailing projects (e.g., renewals, donor appeals).
• Participate in training sessions for ticketing software and customer service standards.
• Follow policies regarding ticket exchanges, comps, and promotions.
