Job summary

The Abbey Resort is hiring a Front Desk Supervisor to lead the desk team at our lakeside hotel. You will greet guests, register rooms, balance accounts, and monitor daily reports to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

This role also includes shift leadership, training new staff, and handling reservations with care. Starting at $17.00 per hour, we offer benefits and a pathway to growth within our hospitality family at Geneva Lake.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic front desk procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience/training.
• Ability to accomplish necessary tasks on a computer.
• Extensive knowledge of hotel property management systems.
• Ability to effectively communicate in the English language.
• Basic understanding of group billing concepts and arrival/departure flow.
• Basic understanding of PMS systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to handle guest issues and recover guests when necessary.
• Ability to safely operate motor vehicles with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Counts, verifies, and maintains a cash bank.
• Runs the House Count Report and the Room Service Status Report.
• Inputs reservations, makes modifications, and assists with cancellations.
• Greets and registers guests and assigns rooms.
• Processes all check-outs and balances department accounts.
• Monitors guest accounts for extreme charges or suspicious activity.
• Supervises Front Desk personnel and assists in training.
• Keeps reservation status and departure reports up to date.
• Coordinates with Housekeeping on late check-outs.
• Resolves guest questions and provides information on hotel amenities.
