Job summary

Smashin Crab is hiring a Guest Experience Team Member to support our host stand, dining room, takeout, expo, and food-running operations in San Antonio, TX. You’ll create a welcoming first impression and help maintain a smooth flow of service.

The role combines hosting, expo, bussing, and takeout responsibilities in a fast-paced seafood setting. Prior restaurant exposure is helpful but not required; you’ll be trained and supported to excel.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant, hosting, takeout, expo, or customer service preferred but not required.
• Friendly, outgoing, and professional communication skills.
• Strong attention to order accuracy, food presentation, cleanliness, and guest service.
• Ability to remain organized and composed during high-volume service.
• Ability to learn a detailed food and beverage menu.
• Willingness to upsell menu and retail items.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Must obtain Food Handler's certification and TABC certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them promptly and professionally.
• Manage takeout orders and payments with the POS system.
• Assist with takeout, expo, food running, and bussing.
• Maintain clean host stand and dining area.
• Support managers with reservations and guest flow.
• Explain menu items and upsell when appropriate.
