Shaner Hotels is opening a new Hampton Inn by Hilton in downtown Columbia, Pennsylvania. The 80-room hotel sits near Becker Pretzel Bakeries and the Susquehanna River, offering guests a historic yet modern experience. As part of the opening team, you will contribute to guest services, front desk operations, and the launch of this exciting property.

We seek energetic, service-driven individuals with a passion for hospitality who want to grow with a leading hotel operator.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum one year customer service experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests, management, and co-workers.
• Computer experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior guest services including check-in/check-out; process all payments according to hotel requirements.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Process all check-ins and check-outs according to established hotel requirements.
• Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
• Generate, print, and distribute daily reports to designated departments/personnel.
• Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.
• Handle guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
