Job summary

Shaner Hotels is opening a Hampton Inn by Hilton in downtown Columbia, PA. We seek an Assistant General Manager to lead hotel operations, inspire a team, and deliver exceptional guest experiences from day one.

You will partner with the General Manager to manage daily operations, drive revenue, and ensure standards across departments while maintaining guest satisfaction and safety. This role requires engaging leadership and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• At least one year of hotel management experience.
• Proven leadership to motivate and develop teams.
• Strong communication with guests and colleagues.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Hospitality/Business degree preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Experience with budgeting, payroll, purchasing, and cost control.

What You Bring

• At least one year of hotel management experience.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop successful teams.
• Strong communication skills with guests, associates, and leadership.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Hospitality Management or Business preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Experience with budgeting, payroll, purchasing, and cost control.
• Working knowledge of all hotel departments and daily hotel operations.
• Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS).
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply operating procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of local attractions and community resources that enhance the guest experience.
