Job summary

Din Tai Fung North America is seeking a Service Manager II to oversee daily server team performance and ensure exceptional guest experiences at our Manhattan location. The role requires maintaining brand standards, coaching staff, and driving service excellence across shifts.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of restaurant management and 1+ year in a leadership role, with the ability to stand for long periods and lift 20+ lbs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years restaurant management experience in casual or upscale casual dining.
• 1+ years of restaurant lead or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure servers deliver a consistent, welcoming guest experience. Maintain brand standards at the door and table, ensuring smooth transitions from arrival to seating to service.
• Train and coach servers for performance excellence. Model company values and standards in all interactions.
• Set clear goals for the server team. Monitor performance, deliver feedback, recognize outstanding contributions, and administer corrective actions when necessary.
• Partner with other FOH leadership to maximize server productivity and manage labor costs. Manage call-outs and shift coverage while maintaining service excellence.
• Assist with FOH inventory (menus, server tools, POS supplies) and communicate needs proactively.
