Job summary

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is seeking a dining services team member to help prepare dining areas, serve guests, and manage guest experiences in a fast-paced environment at Twentynine Palms. You will work with a diverse team, uphold safety standards, and ensure quality service in all interactions.

The role requires knowledge of menu items, proper food handling, and the ability to maintain tables and service areas while adhering to dress code and etiquette guidelines.

Qualifications

• Skill to serve beverages and meals in the proper manner and sequence.
• Knowledge of proper food handling techniques.
• Knowledge of composition of all food items on the menu.
• Skill in proper table setting techniques.
• Knowledge of simple math calculations to tabulate checks.
• Ability to recognize intoxicated patrons when serving alcohol.
• Assigned stations by supervisor and given any special instructions.
• Held responsible for complying with standard methods and procedures such as conduct, etiquette, dress code, serving techniques, and complete familiarity with the menu and day-to-day changes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining area before opening by setting tables with cloths, silverware, glasses, and decorations.
• Maintain server station with supplies like butter, ice, coffee, fruits and breads.
• Know the day’s menu and suggest items; record guest selections for kitchen prep.
• Serve guests and manage their dining experience throughout visits.
• Clear and re-setup tables; perform opening/closing duties (vacuuming, mopping).
• Assist in events setup/breakdown and provide world-class customer service.
• Report hazards or injuries to supervisor; adhere to safety standards and EEO policy.
