Job summary

Golden Nugget Laughlin is seeking a Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences in our casino resort restaurant. You will greet guests, take and deliver orders, describe menu items, and handle payments with accuracy while working closely with kitchen staff.

The role emphasizes a friendly, professional demeanor, multitasking, and knowledge of food and beverage offerings. This is a tipped position with opportunities for advancement and employee discounts on dining and amenities.

Qualifications

• One year of restaurant or customer service preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and enjoyment of hospitality industry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
• Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail in order-taking and payment processing.
• Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including dietary restrictions and allergies.
• Basic math skills for handling payments and calculating tips.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand and carry trays for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and welcome them in a friendly manner.
• Take drink orders and follow alcohol service policy.
• Communicate specials or promotions and make recommendations.
• Answer questions about the menu and dietary restrictions.
• Explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Enter orders into the POS system accurately.
• Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Serve food and beverages promptly with good presentation.
• Check on guests during meals and address requests or concerns.
• Refill drinks and clear plates as needed.
• Provide attentive and personalized service and anticipate guest needs.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate to management.
• Collaborate with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Present checks and process payments accurately and quickly.
• Comply with FLSA tip regulations and company policies in tipped position.
