Job summary

Tommy's Tavern and Tap Sea Girt is seeking a Server to be the face of guest experience in a fast-paced dining environment. You will greet guests, take orders, and deliver food and drinks with attentive, friendly service.

Responsibilities include guiding guests through menus, entering orders into POS, and maintaining dining room cleanliness while collaborating with bussers and kitchen staff. Health and safety standards are required, with ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in full-service, high-volume restaurant.
• Excellent people and communication skills.
• Passion and work ethic for the restaurant industry.
• Ability to stand and be on your feet for extended periods.
• Continuous use of hands, arms, bending, reaching, and twisting.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds as needed.
• Ability to carry trays as needed.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable service to ensure guests feel welcome.
• Greet guests promptly and warmly and guide them through the menu.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently and in accordance with service standards.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
• Collaborate with bussers, runners, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism and elevate when necessary.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Attend training sessions and team meetings as required.
