Job summary

Evaga Restaurant at The Elmont resort is seeking a Server to provide outstanding guest service and order-taking capabilities. You will greet guests, deliver meals and beverages, and ensure a positive dining experience.

You will maintain strong menu knowledge, communicate clearly, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while upholding cleanliness and safety standards. Flexibility for weekends and events is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Food Handler Certification and TABC Certification are required.
• Previous bartending or customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and energetic attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with customers.
• Must be at least 18 years old (or meet local legal requirements for service positions).
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
• Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays and events.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take food and drink orders, ensuring accuracy and clarity of customer preferences.
• Deliver food and beverages to customers in a timely manner.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods.
• Monitor the needs of guests throughout their dining experience, ensuring satisfaction.
• Perform opening and closing side work, including restocking, cleaning, and organizing the dining area and service stations.
• Handle guest payments accurately, including cash and credit card transactions.
• Follow all cleanliness and safety standards for the dining room and stations.
• Attend pre-meal meetings and training sessions to stay informed on policies and menu updates.
• Present a clean, professional appearance at all times with grooming and uniform standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
