Job summary

Golden Nugget Las Vegas is seeking an energetic Server to provide exceptional dining experiences in a high-energy casino hotel setting. You will greet guests, take orders, and deliver food and beverages with accuracy and pace.

Position involves explaining menu items, handling payments, and maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor. Weekends and holidays required; tipping is an important part of compensation and growth opportunities exist within the team.

Qualifications

• One year of restaurant or customer service is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and enjoyment of hospitality industry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
• Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail for accurate order-taking and payment processing.
• Knowledge of food and beverage menus including dietary restrictions and allergies.
• Basic math skills for handling payments and calculating tips.
• Flexible to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and welcome them in a friendly manner.
• Take drink orders and follow policy regarding service of alcohol.
• Communicate specials or promotions and make recommendations based on guests' preferences and dietary restrictions.
• Answer questions regarding the menu, including allergies or special requests.
• Explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to guests.
• Enter food and beverage orders into the POS system accurately.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery.
• Serve food and beverages promptly with good presentation and timing.
• Check on guests during meals and address requests or concerns.
• Refill drinks and clear plates during dining experiences.
• Provide attentive and personalized service, anticipating guest needs.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and raise to management when needed.
• Collaborate with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Present checks and process payments accurately and quickly.
• Comply with FLSA tip regulations and company policies on tipping.
