Metropolitan Tavern in Portland, OR seeks a friendly Server to deliver high-quality dining experiences. You will warmly greet guests, take orders, suggest promotions, and ensure accurate payments while maintaining a clean, safe dining area.

You will work as part of a collaborative team, adhere to service steps and health regulations, handle allergens, and provide knowledge about menu items. Flexibility for nights and weekends is needed; prior POS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Provide efficient and friendly service to customers within a designated section.
• Record and settle guest orders accurately while complying with financial policies.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Safely carry food and beverages and handle all equipment.
• Strong communication skills to follow written and spoken instructions.

• Comfortable working in tight spaces with varying noise levels and temperatures.
• Stand and walk for the duration of the shift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Follow health and safety regulations and maintain sanitation standards; complete required training such as alcohol awareness.
• Maintain a collaborative attitude, working with team members and following restaurant policies.
• Perform additional duties as required to ensure smooth operations.
