Job summary

Hyatt Regency Cincinnati is seeking a friendly Server to join our dining team in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. You will greet guests, guide them through the menu, take orders, and serve with care, aiming to exceed guest expectations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months to 1 year of serving experience, and excellent communication with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Six months to one year serving experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Read, write and speak English fluently
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm, friendly demeanor and make a positive first impression
• Guide guests through the menu, provide recommendations and answer questions
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay to kitchen and bar
• Serve food and beverages promptly with high presentation and quality
• Anticipate guest needs and deliver personalized service
• Clear tables and maintain a clean dining area
• Process guest payments and handle cash transactions accurately
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service
