Job summary

Glass & Vine in Coconut Grove is seeking friendly, guest-focused individuals to join our service team. You’ll greet and seat guests, take orders, suggest menu items, communicate allergies to the kitchen, and ensure timely, high-quality service in a fast-paced setting.

As part of a collaborative team, you’ll handle refills, address guest concerns with poise, and help with light cleaning. This role offers opportunities for advancement and flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Toast knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and a friendly demeanor.
• Strong organization and time management.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Active listening and collaboration.
• Knowledge of foodservice regulations and proper handling.
• Ability to learn quickly and memorize menu details.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to be on feet for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and seating guests
• Taking food and beverage orders and entering them into the ordering system
• Making menu item recommendations
• Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff
• Ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately and that food is high quality
• Providing attentive service to diners, like refilling drinks as needed and checking their needs during meals
• Promptly addressing any guests' issues and referring to management if necessary
• Performing some cleaning duties, such as at the service station, around the kitchen and in the dining area
