Job summary

Woodlark Hotel Portland is seeking a friendly Food & Beverage Server to provide courteous service in our restaurant. You will greet guests, take and relay orders, describe menu items, and ensure accurate, timely service while maintaining a clean and welcoming dining area.

You will operate the Micros POS, handle payments, verify IDs for alcohol, and help with opening/closing duties. Requirements include 1–3 years in food service, a high school diploma or equivalent, Safe Server certification,

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of food service experience preferred.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Must be able to verify legal drinking age and handle alcohol responsibly.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent and Safe Server certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and present menus in a friendly, professional manner.
• Take orders, relay to kitchen, and ensure timely delivery.
• Describe menu items and ingredients, including drinks and specials.
• Operate Micros POS and handle cash/credit transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and reset tables between guests.
• Verify guest IDs for alcohol service and enforce age restrictions.
