Job summary

Harvard Protection Services is seeking Security Officers in Boston to provide professional security and life safety services for people and property. Officers will greet customers and maintain a visible presence while monitoring for suspicious activity and ensuring access control.

The role emphasizes strong communication, reliable transport, and adherence to established procedures. Participants can expect to support Concierge services, perform patrols, and document incidents with routine log

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent.
• Must have reliable means of communication and transportation.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and neat and professional appearance.
• Write routine correspondence, to include log entries and incident reporting.
• Previous contract security, law enforcement, military, customer service experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer-focused security and life safety services.
• Maintain a visible presence in the facility / building assigned.
• Greet customers, visitors, staff, tenants, guests in a professional manner.
• Monitor the environment and detect suspicious or unsafe activity.
• Perform required patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Answer phones professionally and manage entrances/exits per policy.
• Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.
