Job summary

Dollar Tree in Hampton, VA is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, manage sales transactions at the cash register, and help stock the floor.

This role requires strong communication, the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and a positive, friendly attitude. Part-time position with opportunities for growth; flexible hours preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and frequent walking, standing, bending, and climbing.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect assets.
• Keep store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
