Job summary

Ghirardelli Chocolate Company is seeking team members for our San Francisco locations. Starting pay is $19.61/hr plus tips, with holiday pay at 1.5x for holidays, and a free sundae or shake on every shift. Employee discounts are 50% off items, with a quarterly bonus opportunity.

Store hours are Mon–Sun 9:00am–10:00pm; shifts may extend before/after hours for prep and cleaning. Ghirardelli's employees are ambassadors of our brand, with over 700 colleagues in our Retail division.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma preferred.
• San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance compliance.
• COVID-19 vaccination as required by local ordinance.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional Guest service.
• Manage all cash handling and credit card processing procedures.
• Assemble various proprietary retail items per the Recipe Guidelines.
• Maintain adequate supply of all retail product on floor and back stock.
• Ensure all product is appropriately priced and signed.
• Maintain store cleanliness, arrangement, and display.
• Maintain knowledge of products, pricing, and company history.
• Perform up-sell opportunities and gift-wrap items as needed.
• Follow Food Safety guidelines and keep areas clean and sanitary.
• Set up, maintain, and break down Fountain Area as required.
