Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Maryland LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help keep the store clean and well-stocked.

The role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a dedication to safety and customer service. This position is part-time with opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in customer service in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks associated with a busy retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal
• Other duties as assigned
