Job summary

SSA Group is seeking a Retail Associate at Nashville Zoo for a guest-focused role. You will assist guests, manage merchandise displays, and ensure a clean, welcoming environment while supporting sustainability initiatives. Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights and weekends, is required.

Prior POS and Excel familiarity is a plus. The position reports to the Retail Supervisors and Retail Operations Manager, with responsibilities across guest service, stocking, and promotional selling

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Thrive in a team environment while being able to work independently.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift boxes 10–35 lbs.
• Flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill guest needs quickly and efficiently.
• Inform leadership when item quantities are low or special requests arise.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Handle cash drawer and assist with merchandise display to maximize sales.
• Promote sustainability/conservation efforts and SSA/Unit community engagement.
