Position Summary
The Guest Experience Representative reports to the supervisor on duty for each event. Primary responsibilities at all locations include welcoming guests to the event, reviewing and validating tickets upon entry, directing/escorting guests to their seats efficiently and professionally, answering questions, and proactively engaging with guests.
Hourly pay: $14.00.

About the Venue
Rupp Arena, a 20,000‑seat venue in Lexington, Kentucky, hosts university basketball and major musical acts. The venue is complemented by the Central Bank Center, an extensive convention space, and the Lexington Opera House, which showcases Broadway talent in downtown Lexington.
Responsibilities
- Process each guest’s ticket in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist guests as they enter the facility, directing them to their assigned seat or seating area and resolving patron‑seating issues.
- Monitor the perimeter of each facility to prevent unauthorized, non‑ticketed individuals from gaining access to the event.
- Provide guests with general information concerning the event and related services such as concession stands, restrooms, and first aid.
- Monitor aisles to maintain fire code safety regulations involving pedestrian access and movement.
- Guide guests to exits and/or provide instructions or assistance in the event of an emergency or evacuation.
- Serve as the first‑line contact for guest requests and assistance.
- (Rupp) Open and close curtains in the respective vomitories as related to the event.
- (Rupp) Monitor the actions of the public in and around the escalator to ensure proper operation and crowd control at entry and exit points.
- Distribute programs and other promotional brochures as needed.
- Engage each guest to provide the best overall experience.
- Perform other general customer service duties as required.
Qualifications
- General knowledge of public assembly operations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work well under stress and exercise good judgment, diplomacy, courtesy, and tact in all circumstances.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Comfortable with heights and loud noises.
- Willingness to rotate to various positions within a shift.
Physical Requirements
- Requires a full range of body motions including normal vision and hearing.
- Frequent standing, climbing, walking, reaching, handling, speaking, hearing, and visual monitoring of work assignments.
- May occasionally climb to elevated locations and navigate stairs or inclines within each facility.
- Works under stressful conditions, irregular hours, and tight deadlines.
