Job summary

Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance is seeking a Guest Operations Coordinator to lead frontline staff and drive exceptional guest experiences across our campus in Denver, Colorado.

You will supervise shifts, support training, uphold safety and service standards, and partner with departments to deliver smooth operations for visitors and staff alike. This role requires outdoor work and weekend availability to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year degree preferred, or equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience in guest operations, guest service, or hospitality.
• Experience in a high-volume, customer-focused venue or non-profit settings preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as shift supervisor and deploy frontline staff.
• Provide guidance on SOPs and use of tools and systems.
• Document performance observations and growth areas.
• Foster a guest-focused team culture and professionalism.
• Monitor cleanliness, safety, and guest experience standards.
• Verify checklists before opening and report issues.
• Ensure opening/closing on time and follow procedures.
• Assist leadership with on-the-spot operational adjustments.
• Coordinate daily operations and staffing plans.
